|Artstudio has been developing design knowledge with an active participation in architectural and urban theory. Following a continued interest in best-practice building codes and standards used in the design, safety, sustainability and attainable design solutions, in 2012 Artstudio co-founded the “Georgian Institute of Building (GIB) “, a non-profit legal entity whose main objectives are the advocating for and participation in the drafting of legislation, technical regulations and standards, related to spatial planning and buildings/structures, as well as enhancement of civil responsibility and professional qualification of physical and legal persons participating in the design, construction and maintenance of buildings and structures.|
|Since 2013 Artstudio is official member of IAKS, the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities. It is a recognized Organization by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The goal of the IAKS is the creation of high-grade, functional and sustainable sports facilities worldwide with international exchange and the ongoing development of quality standards. It’s a meeting place for architects, engineers, clients, designers, local authorities, technical and operative management, sports federations and clubs.|
|Since 2014 Artstudio is member of “Green Building Council Georgia” GBC Georgia is a prospective member of the World GBC, a coalition of more than 118 national green building councils and member of European Regional Network of GBCs (ERN). The member organizations are driving the transformation of buildings, communities and users’ behavior towards sustainability. GBC Georgia achieves its mission through supporting green building market in Georgia – technical assistance to construction industry and real estate stakeholders, education of professionals, support to built environment science, policy advice for government.|
|The Studio ongoing research in the field of Urban planning and the active participation in the Tbilisi Masterplan competition, led in 2015 to the editing and publishing of the magazine “Urbani”, which is a common space of debate and opinions sharing for urban planners, experts, researchers and people who care about sensitive topics for the city, its territory and inhabitants. The first issue was published in May and the second in November 2015.|
